All pins, bolts, and locking devices present and secure
Safety decals and warning labels visible and legible
No structural damage or bent components
Mirrors, lights, and reflectors clean and functional
2. Cab & Controls Check
Horn, backup alarm, and warning lights functional
Gauges and indicator lights operational
Steering and brake response normal
Windshield, windows, and mirrors clean and free of obstructions
Seat belt functional and not frayed
ROPS/FOPS structure intact
Fire extinguisher present and in working order
3. Hydraulic System & Boom Check
Hydraulic fluid level within normal range
No visible hydraulic hose wear or leaks
Boom operates smoothly through full range of motion
Boom angle indicators functional (if applicable)
Boom locking device engages properly
Fork tilt and side shift mechanisms working correctly
4. Engine & Powertrain
Engine oil level and condition
Coolant level within safe range
Fuel level adequate for shift
Transmission fluid (if applicable) within normal range
Belts and hoses free from wear or cracks
Air filter clean and secured
5. Safety & Stability Systems
Load chart present and legible
Load indicator system functional (if equipped)
Stabilizers (if equipped) deploy and retract correctly
Audible/visual alarms for overloading function properly
Operator manual onboard
6. Final Operational Check
Starts easily and idles smoothly
No abnormal noises or smells
Travels forward/reverse without issues
Hydraulic functions operate under load
Emergency stop system tested and working
