  • Are you interested in hosting interns at your company?*
  • Is your organization an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3), interested in hiring an intern using your own organizational funds (not requesting wage underwriting)?*
  • The 2026 nonprofit grant cycle is now closed, and underwriting support is no longer available for this summer. Organizations wishing to host an intern this summer will need to fully fund wages and program fees from their operational budget.

  • PMSIP Discovery Days (Limited opportunities available)

    A career exploration & business learning initiative for applicants who DID NOT secure an internship
  • PMSIP Discovery Days is a new way for companies to make a direct, meaningful impact on PMSIP applicants who did not receive an internship, especially those who are still eager to learn, grow, and explore career pathways. By hosting a half-day or full-day Discovery Days experience, your team provides students with invaluable exposure to your industry while helping strengthen Plano’s future workforce.

    This customizable program allows you to:

    • Showcase your company culture, values, and mission
    • Introduce students to real career pathways
    • Connect employees with meaningful mentorship opportunities
    • Inspire the next generation of Plano talent through campus tours and hands-on learning

    Host Investment - $2,500
    Discovery Days sponsorship supports student participation, program coordination, and resource materials, and demonstrates your company’s commitment to workforce development and equitable access to career exploration.

    The Plano Mayor's Summer Internship Program is a program of the Plano Improvement Corporation a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
