  • Cecillia Hailey’s passion for education is deeply rooted in family tradition. Raised by a mother and five aunts who were all educators, she naturally gravitated toward a career in teaching. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Chemistry from Arizona State University, followed by a Master’s degree in Health Education and Advanced Schooling from the University of Arizona’s Graduate College. She also studied for a year at the Morehouse School of Medicine, expanding her knowledge in medical sciences. 

    Expertise in Reading Instruction and Curriculum Design 

    Hailey is widely recognized for her ability to teach reading effectively across diverse learning levels. Her approach combines structured instruction with creative lesson planning, allowing students to develop their literacy skills steadily. Her innovative curriculum designs have set a benchmark for educators seeking to create engaging and impactful teaching methods. 

    As a Science and Health Professor, she developed courses on nutrition, weight management, and anxiety relief. For nearly a decade, she taught online health education classes focused on public health, wellness, and disease prevention, emphasizing research-based practices. She assessed learning through projects, discussions, and presentations, utilizing technology to make lessons interactive and globally accessible. 

    Leadership in Educational Administration 

    Hailey has held several leadership positions that highlight her commitment to advancing education. She served as an Assistant Principal in Roatan, Honduras, where she supported school operations and monitored student progress, before becoming the Dean of Education at a private school, where she oversaw curriculum development and provided support to teachers. Her leadership in these roles led to significant improvements in student performance and teacher development. 

    She also worked as an online English consultant for Roehampton Online University in London, teaching international students—primarily from Asia—conversational English, grammar, and cultural communication. Through adaptive lesson plans and digital tools, she engaged learners across age groups and proficiency levels. Fluent in English and Spanish, she has consistently bridged cultural gaps and built meaningful connections with her students. 

    Advancing Education Through Technology and Research

    Cecillia Hailey is a strong advocate for innovation in education. By integrating technology with evidence-based teaching strategies, she has created interactive and inclusive learning experiences. She has also championed smaller class sizes and higher standards in online learning, improving academic quality in both traditional and virtual classrooms. 

    Personal Interests and Passions 

    Outside the classroom, Cecillia Hailey is an avid traveler, a passion she attributes to her father’s career in the Air Force. She is a dedicated reader, motorcyclist, and fisher, with plans to take up golf. Fitness plays a central role in her life, as she regularly practices weight training and water aerobics. A lifelong animal lover, she shares her home with a Great Dane named Muhammad Ali and has a special affection for horses. These personal interests not only enrich her life but also shape her unique perspective on education and leadership. 

    Engagement in Entertainment and Media 

    Beyond education, Hailey has explored the entertainment industry as a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, working in background roles for television and film. She enjoys both classic sitcoms, such as The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, and The Munsters, as well as modern streaming series, most recently Stick on Apple TV+. 

    Early Achievements and Leadership Development 

    Cecillia Hailey’s leadership qualities emerged early at Manzano High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was elected Senior Class President of a school with 2,000 students. She actively participated in track and field, cheerleading, politics, and theater. These early achievements not only shaped her leadership skills but also inspired her to make a positive impact in the world of education and beyond.

    She later earned the title of Ms. Black Arizona (1985–86) and helped establish Ms. Arizona Day, an unofficial holiday celebrating the state’s culture and natural beauty. Additionally, she was a first runner-up in Ms. Galaxy International, a global pageant that welcomes women from around the world. 

    Global Outreach and Influence 

    With her extensive background and international experiences, Cecillia Hailey continues to connect with diverse audiences through blogging and social media. Her voice resonates across cultures, fostering communication, understanding, and global engagement.
