  • LEAGUE COACHING

Please consider helping coach.  We would like to have two coaches per team in case someone is missing.  We will provide substitution sheets for subbing.  We will give you direction during the skills and offense and defensive sessions on what skill we will be working on.  We just need bodies to help move players around. We will provide coaches with online resources, access to some of our high school practice sessions, as well as a coaching clinic before the season begins.

Email chestertongirlsbbchs@gmail.com if you have further questions.

  • CLUB 1 & TRAVEL TEAMS

As a continuation of what we began this summer with our middle school basketball program, we will be creating traveling teams to compete in tournaments at locations like (The Courts, Hammond, Club1 at NWI Schools). Our goal is to build a dynamic and competitive program with players for each grade level. Now that we have two middle and intermediate schools, it is important that we get to strong numbers in each grade. For this to happen we MUST have volunteers to coach the teams.

Depending on numbers, Each team will have its own dedicated coach, and all kids in that grade will practice together during the season.  They will run the same offenses, out-of-bounds, drills, etc. This uniformity will help maintain consistency across the board and allow players to seamlessly transition between teams if needed.  It will also allow all the players in our program to have vertical articulation of our offesenses, defensive concepts, vocabulary, and skills sets.

We are confident that this structure will foster both individual skill development and cohesive team play.  We look forward to an exciting season ahead. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.

To be eligible, a player MUST compete in the Chesterton Girls' Basketball League to be considered for this opportunity. You will be contacted after the evaluation if your daughter has been selected to be on one of the teams.

Email chestertongirlsbbchs@gmail.com if you have further questions.
