• 2025 Trading, Risk & Investments Program Application

    The TRIP application is open to:

    • Any Texas A&M student in any major in their junior year (around 60-90 graded hours).
    • Mays students in their sophomore year who will pass the Mays Big 5 during the Fall 2025 semester and will declare Finance as their major.
    • Transfer students who have submitted an application for Spring 2026 admission to Texas A&M and expect to be admitted.
    • Those who meet the above criteria and are a US citizen or a US permanent resident.

    Students ineligible to apply for Fall 2025:

    • First-semester college students (freshmen) with zero graded credit hours at Texas A&M are ineligible to apply, even if they have AP, IB, or dual-credit hours.
    • Seniors who are expected to graduate by May 2026 are ineligible to apply.
    • Students requiring any VISA - internships are limited to US citizens or US permanent residents.

  • The Application Package consists of:

    1. TRIP Application (this form).
    2. TAMU unofficial transcript uploaded to this form (and transcripts from any other university, college, or community college attended that do not show the transfer grade on your TAMU transcript). A PDF download from Howdy or a student portal is expected.
    3. Resume uploaded to this form (one page, PDF).
    4. Professional headshot uploaded to this form (jpg preferred). You should be wearing business professional (coat & tie), or as professional as your current wardrobe allows.
    5. The 2 essays, uploaded to this form.
    6. Degree plan.

    Application Instructions

    • Please complete this application in its entirety before submitting. 
    • Each application essay should be single-spaced, written in a standard font, and must be between one and two pages in length (unless otherwise specified).
    • Save your essays as a single PDF, with the essays in order, and upload as one file. The combined document should not exceed four pages in total.
    • Your submitted files (headshot, resume, transcript, and essay) must be saved in this format:
      • Last, First_UIN_transcript.pdf, etc.
      • e.g.: Doe, John_123000456_essays.pdf
      • e.g.: Aggie, Jane_123000456_headshot.jpg 

    Application Questions

    • If you were to create a company, what would your product or service be, and what business model would you use? Justify your choice of product/service, your target market, your location, and discuss potential risks (2-page maximum).
    • Kitchen Sink - This is your chance to tell us something about yourself, or address something in your application you feel needs an explanation, etc. (2-page maximum).

    There is no advantage to being first to apply. You may submit as many times as needed.

  • Degree Plan Requirement

    All applicants must upload a degree plan that outlines their plan for completing the coursework. This does not need to list specific classes, but should provide a general breakdown of credit hours by semester through graduation.

    • Note: For juniors applying and completing the master's route, the degree requires 36 credit hours, including 3 credit hours fulfilled through internships. You may take up to 3 graduate-level courses during your undergraduate; however, these will NOT count toward your undergraduate degree.
