GetRECed is the education platform of Royalty Entertainment Company (REC). It provides workshops, open space, classes, and intensives in movement, performance, and wellness, with a focus on pole, floorwork, erotic art, harm reduction, and community-based learning.

Programming is led by a mix of, self instructed, REC staff and independent contractors, who deliver classes under REC’s educational umbrella. All programming is designed to create safe, inclusive spaces for participants of all genders, with emphasis on Black, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Classes range from self instructed ipen space, beginner-friendly sessions (e.g., pole foundations, floorwork basics, community stretch) to advanced intensives (e.g., choreography, performance technique, erotic art exploration).

INFORMED CONSENT, ASSUMPTION OF RISK & WAIVER OF LIABILITY

By registering for or participating in any GetRECed programming offered by Royalty Entertainment Company (“REC,” “GetRECed,” “we,” or “us”), I (“Participant”) acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the following terms.

1. Voluntary Participation
I voluntarily choose to participate in workshops, classes, events, rehearsals, drop-in sessions, and programming offered by REC, whether led by REC staff, independent contractors, guest facilitators, or conducted as self-led or unsupervised sessions. I understand that participation is entirely optional and that I may withdraw at any time.

2. Informed Consent & Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in pole dance, movement, erotic art, performance training, and related physical or expressive activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, strains, collisions, emotional distress, equipment failure, or other injuries.

I acknowledge that these risks may result in minor injury, serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death. I knowingly, freely, and voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising from my participation.

3. Unsupervised / Open Pole Sessions
I understand and acknowledge that certain GetRECed programming, including but not limited to Open Pole, is self-led and unsupervised. During these sessions, no instructor, coach, staff member, or contractor will provide instruction, spotting, supervision, or guidance.

I voluntarily choose to participate in unsupervised programming and accept full responsibility for my actions, decisions, and physical wellbeing while using the studio space, pole equipment, and any related facilities.

I understand that participation in unsupervised activity involves increased risk, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, misuse of equipment, fractures, paralysis, serious bodily injury, or death. I assume all such risks, including those arising from the absence of supervision or emergency intervention.

4. Medical & Mental Fitness
I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate in REC programming and have no medical condition that would impair my ability to participate safely. I understand that REC does not provide medical, therapeutic, or mental health services.

I am solely responsible for monitoring my own health, safety, and wellbeing and agree to stop participation immediately if I feel unsafe, unwell, or unable to continue safely.

5. Release & Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Royalty Entertainment Company (REC / GetRECed), its officers, directors, employees, independent contractors, volunteers, affiliates, partners, sponsors, advertisers, and venue owners from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in REC programming.

This release includes, without limitation, claims arising from injury, disability, emotional harm, property damage, or death, whether occurring during supervised or unsupervised activities.

6. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless REC and its officers, staff, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from my participation, actions, or failure to comply with program rules or instructions.

7. Gross Negligence & Intentional Misconduct
Nothing in this waiver releases REC or its representatives from liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, to the extent such liability cannot be waived under applicable law.

8. Program Policies

• Registration & Payment: Registration and full payment are required prior to participation. No walk-ins will be admitted without registration.
• Refund Policy: All sales are final. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued once registration is complete.
• Respect & Conduct: GetRECed is a safer space. Harassment, abuse, intimidation, discrimination, or disrespect toward instructors, staff, or participants will not be tolerated. Violations may result in immediate removal without refund and potential permanent exclusion from future programming.
• Respect for Space & Equipment: Participants must respect the studio space, equipment, and all individuals present. Failure to comply with rules or safety expectations may result in removal without refund.
• Equity & Safer Space Commitment: GetRECed programming centres Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities. While all participants are welcome, participants are expected to uphold these values and contribute to a safer, inclusive environment.

9. Acknowledgement of Understanding
By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read and fully understood this agreement. I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue REC and its representatives, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I confirm that I am signing this agreement freely and voluntarily.
