2025-2026 Winter Service Authorization
Lakeview Marine, Inc. requires this agreement of all winter customers
- Any water-cooled (inboard or inboard/outboard) engine that is brought to Lakeview Marine, Inc. for winterization after the first freeze of the fall season will not be guaranteed due to any damage that may have occurred prior to winterization.
- Lakeview Marine, Inc is not responsible for any freshwater systems not specifically mentioned when boat is brought in for winter service. Please indicate, in writing, the presence of any ballast, sink, washdown, or toilet system in your boat so that it may be properly winterized.
- Due to quality issues with today's fuel, and the presence of ethanol in the gas, Lakeview Marine, Inc. recommends that fuel tanks be drained with fuel treatment added to the tank. (Fuel treatment is included in the cost of winterization) If you elect to leave fuel in your tank, Lakeview Marine, Inc. will treat it but is not ensuring that the fuel will be usable and/or will not cause fuel-related issues in the spring.
- Batteries must be disconnected while boats are being stored in either our inside or outside facilities.
- It is the owner's responsibility to re-install drain plugs before launching the boat after it has been in the possession of Lakeview Marine, Inc. We will NOT install drain plugs in boats that we are not launching.
- The liability of Lakeview Marine, Inc., its employees, affiliates and agents, with regard to any damage that may result to your property while in our care, is limited to such damage that might occur as a result of our negligence or breach of the terms of our contract with you, and does not include any damage that may result from circumstances outside of our reasonable control, including but not limited to wild animals, theft, vandalism, fire, or so-called "Acts of God". This includes damage incurred during transport to & from the off-site facility.
The Owner of any boat, left for service or for the winter, is solely responsible for maintaining adequate insurance throughout the lay-up period, including transport.
**As the owner of the boat or property, I agree to the above terms and conditions of service and storage, and release Lakeview Marine, Inc. and rental property owners of all claims of loss or damage.
