Grand River Soccer Club is proud to bring players together through competitive and community-focused tournaments. Our events are designed to celebrate teamwork, showcase talent, and connect the soccer community throughout Waterloo Region. Each tournament in the series carries its own unique story, honouring the spirit of the game and the people who make it thrive.

Michal Plecity Legacy Cup - May 2, 2026$ FreeCAD
Men’s 11v11 pre-season tournament held at Waterloo-Oxford Secondary School in Baden, Ontario on a high-quality artificial turf field. Designed for recreational men’s teams, the event guarantees a minimum of three 25-minute matches, officiated by a full three-referee system. Teams can expect competitive play to help them prepare for the upcoming season, capped off by a championship final featuring a trophy and prizes. Registration Fee: $40 per player

Allan Payne Leagues Cup - September 16 to October 7, 2026$ FreeCAD
Men’s 11v11 post-season tournament open to teams from every division, bringing together the best of the best in an exciting alternative playoff format. Matches will take place on various dates and locations between September 17 and October 8. Each team is guaranteed two 50-minute games, with the champions taking home a $500 cash prize, making this a competitive and rewarding way to close out the season. Registration Fee: $35 per player

Women’s 11v11 tournament held at Waterloo-Oxford Secondary School in Baden, Ontario on a high-quality artificial turf field. The tournament features both intermediate and recreational divisions, ensuring a welcoming experience for all levels of play. Strong focus on fun, friendship, and fair play as we celebrate fall in style. Teams can expect a minimum of three 25-minute matches, officiated by a full three-referee system. KW Socctoberfest - September 26, 2026$ FreeCAD
Co-ed 11v11 tournament is the region’s only 11v11 officiated co-ed tournament, bringing together players of all skill levels and experience for a fun, festive day of soccer. Held at Woodside Soccer Park in Kitchener, Ontario from 3:00–8:00 PM this one-day event combines the energy of competition with the spirit of community and Oktoberfest. Teams will play three 25-minute matches in a festival-style format, with top teams advancing to the finals. Both recreational and competitive divisions are offered, ensuring inclusive and balanced play for everyone. Registration Fee: $40 per player

The established rules for participation and proper conduct on or about the playing field have been created by the league and must be followed at all times. By completing this form, members agree to abide by published rules of the league and recognize the league convenors as a separate entity and therefore waive, release, absolve, and agree to hold harmless the convenors and it's directors from any claim arising from any injury, damage, or loss howsoever caused.
