NW2 Positions - Saturday, October 31, 2026 - I DO NOT WANT TO BE ASSIGNED TO THE POSITIONS CHECKED BELOW
Timer: Uses a stopwatch to time dogs during their run. Relays the time of the search to the judge in the manner the judge specifies.
Judges Steward: Gives competitors in the final staging area a reminder of the search criteria, passes score sheets on to the score runner, and assists in the search area as needed. Also ensures that the judges are aware of any change in run order.
Flow Steward: Makes sure that all staging areas are occupied and helps manage traffic flow to and from any interim staging area to the final staging area. Helps competitors remain calm and keeps dogs safe. Depending on trial logistics may maintain the electronic trial flow application.
Floater: Check In competitors upon arrival, ensure Liability Waivers have been submitted. Run Scores to the Trial Secretary, sells raffle tickets, takes candid pictures throughout the day. Basically taking care of jobs that need to be addressed on an “as needed” basis.
Pit Boss: Helps manage flow to and from the crating area or parking lot. Depending on trial logistics may maintain the electronic trial flow application.
Hospitality Host: Assist in setting up and tearing down the snack bar, lunch buffet and coffee bar station. Ensures that items are replenished when needed. Also keeps each area clear of trash and clutter. The Hospitality Host is NOT responsible for purchasing or transporting hospitality supplies.
Set Up: Need as many as possible!
