Q: Do I have to be and identify as Black to vend at Black Market Flea?
A: YES! Black Market Flea is a marketplace solely for Black vendors, but we welcome all who respect and support our ethos to come attend the event.

Q: I just applied to vend at BMF. When can I expect to hear back?
A: You can expect to hear back from us within a few days. If your submission is approved, you can only confirm your spot at BMF by signing the Vendor Agreement as well as completing payment.

Q: If my submission is approved, how long do I have to complete the Letter of Agreement and submit payment?
A: Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spots will only be confirmed to those who have completed the agreement AND submitted payment. If either of the aforementioned is incomplete, you are considered "unconfirmed" and spaces may fill; meaning you may not be able to vend at the upcoming event!

Q: How much does it cost to vend at BMF?
A: Spots range from $200 to $600 depending on size. Each 10x10 is $200. Please expect to also purchase insurance for your business/booth once approved.

Q: Do I need to purchase and provide insurance for the event?
A: Yes! All approved Vendors must purchase 1-day Event Vendor insurance in order to vend at Black Market Flea. Vendors can find insurance coverage details and information on the Vendor Insurance page (step 3 of the submission process after approval).

Q: How much is vendor insurance and how do I go about procuring it?
A: After signing the Vendor Agreement (step 2 of the submission process), you'll receive a link to our Vendor Insurance Form, where we have a couple of recommended sites (Thimble.com or Eventhelper.com) to purchase an insurance policy from. You may also purchase insurance elsewhere at your own discretion, as long as the policy amounts reach BMF requirements. Insurance policies from the recommended sites are around $30.

Q: What are the options for vending spaces?
A: Vending spaces range from 10'x10' to 10'x30'. Out of fairness to all, we do not allow vendors to take up more space than what they have purchased and cannot accommodate last minute changes. We do not allow items (such as mirrors and clothing racks, etc.) to protrude out of your rented space, so we ask that you plan your set-up accordingly.

Q: Do I need to provide my own equipment including tables, chairs, canopy, etc?
A: Yes! All vendors are required to provide all necessities for their set up themselves! Black Market Flea will not provide or rent out any of these items.

Q: Does the venue or Black Market Flea provide electricity for vendors?
A: While the venue may have outlets in certain areas, there is no guarantee that any vendor will be placed near one or that an outlet near a vendor may work. Black Market Flea does not provide power to any vendor. All vendor must prepare to provide every single necessity for the operation of their booth.

Q: Can my friends/family vend their products in my booth?
A: Because we are a curated market, every single business looking to vend with us is required to submit their own individual application and pay a vending fee, even if they prefer to share a space with another vendor!

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Black Market Flea will only offer refunds within 24 hours of purchase.
