Proposed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Fee

OMVIC is consulting on a new CPD fee, proposed at $99, effective April 1, 2026. The fee would be payable up to 90 days before a registrant’s renewal date.

Registrants must complete CPD before renewing their registration, annually for dealers and every two years for salespersons. Each CPD cycle will include four to six hours of online learning content. A proposed fee of $99 for this amount of content compares favourably with fees in other regulated professions in Ontario.

OMVIC welcomes feedback on the proposed CPD fee outlined in the chart below. All feedback will be considered as part of the decision-making process, regardless of whether changes are reflected in the final fee structure.
