Fusion Fridays Artist Application

ARTECHOUSE Houston is looking for both up-and-coming and established performance-based artists to participate in our new series Fusion Fridays - a celebration of local Houston talent taking place within our immersive and interactive "Gallery 1" space (see above image) at our state-of-the-art 26,000 sq ft digital and immersive art gallery location in the heart of the Heights.

Fusion Fridays will take place twice a month from 10pm-Midnight. Artist performances can be any of the following genres:

Music
Spoken Word
Performance Art
Dance
Experimental
Digital / Immersive Art

ARTIST REQUIREMENTS

Artists interested in performing at a Fusion Fridays event must meet the following requirements:

Solo artists must provide at least a 90-minute show.
Artist showcases / Group shows must stay within the two-hour showtime. Multiple intermissions are allowed for changeovers.
Artists must bring their own instruments
Performance space is limited to 20’ wide x 15’ deep
Performances must not include nudity, or the throwing/spilling of glitter, liquids, or any other substance that requires cleanup.
Artists must promote the performance in advance within their channels (email, social media, etc.) and tag @artechouse as the venue.

Sound, mics, and sound tech (if you prefer to bring your own, please let us know)
Lighting (if you would like to bring your own lighting, please let us know)

TICKETING & ARTIST COMPENSATION

All tickets to Fusion Friday performances are $25 (with an option for a guest to purchase a $10 add-on, allowing access to all 26,000 sq ft of digital galleries)
$10 of each ticket will go to the featured artist that evening
If the event is a group show, artists must split the $10 per ticket
Room cap is 120 persons
Artists receive 4 comp tickets for the show (will not count against the room cap)
ARTECHOUSE will provide artist with ticket recap the evening of the show. Artist must then provide invoice for percentage of sales.
KEEP IN MIND: Pre-promotion is important!! The more tickets are sold, the higher your artist cut will be!
