This is our Annual pre-Christmas Picnic. We hold it early in the month because everyone’s calendars are usually filling up further into the month. Once again Charles Irwin has welcomed us to his historic property of Riverside on Hindmarsh Island. His property is located on the riverfront almost opposite Clayton Bay. We would like to once again thank Charles for the use of this wonderful property.
If you are travelling by boat and with the fleet be ready to leave from the Goolwa Aquatic Club boat ramp at 10am, for a 10:30 departure to then cruise upstream for approximately 12kms to Riverside just above Clayton.
If you don’t wish to traverse this distance by boat, alternatively you could launch from the boat ramp at Clayton Bay, this is a much shorter trip.
If you don’t wish to bring a boat at all then join us by road and still enjoy the event. We will be there about 11 to set up the shade tent ready for the arrival of boats at about 12.
Riverside is 1259a Randall Road on Hindmarsh island (about 12kms from the bridge) on the left had side. Follow the drive to the water front.
The boats are planned to arrive by midday.
This is a BYO picnic. Bring lunch, drinks, chairs and table as required and please remember to bring some water as it may be a warm day.
We will have shade set up and a portable toilet on site.
