Car Seat Safety Check Event

Saturday, October 4, 2025 | Sturgeon Bay Fire Department
This is a free service for Door County residents provided by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician from Door County Public Health and the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department. Appointments are approximately 30 minutes per car seat. Please schedule an appointment for each seat requiring installation/inspection.

Appointments will be held inside the Stugeon Bay Fire Department garage. Enter from 5th Avenue near intersection of 5th and Michigan. The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department is located at 421 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.

It is recommended, but not required, to have all children who use a car seat present at the appointment. Arriving with all children fastened into their car seats allows for the most thorough car seat check and education.

Please bring your vehicle manual AND car seat manual(s) to the appointment, if available.
