Rules for Safety
You will be away from your family for a period of time while participating in camp. At Camp Two Roads, you will even be living in a different home. It is important that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. These safety rules were written so that all campers can live outdoors safely and enjoy the programs equally. You will be expected to follow these rules in order to have a safe experience at camp.
1. Stay with your group. During programming, stay with your assigned group. If you are in the cabin area, stay with your cabin group.
2. Leave all rocks, sticks, and wildlife on the ground. Throwing things can harm others and disturb the wildlife.
3. Walk wherever you go. There are rocks, roots, and other things in the trails that make it important for you to walk slowly and carefully.
4. Stay in your cabin/unit during ALL CABIN TIMES. If you need to see the nurse or leave your cabin for any reason, talk to your counselor first.
5. Always wear your woodcookie. People want to know who you are, and they like to call you by your name.
6. Practice good environmental manners. Leave the program site in the same condition that you found it.
7. Be a good listener. Listen carefully when staff members talk, they are saying something you need to hear!
8. Contact a staff member immediately if someone is sick or hurt, or if you have a complaint or concern about any staff or campers.
9. Pack only those items that are listed on your clothing and equipment list. At overnight programs, all items on the contraband list will be confiscated the first day of camp and returned at the end of the week.
I HAVE READ THIS INFORMATION AND DISCUSSED IT WITH MY PARENTS. I AGREE TO FOLLOW THE SHOOTING STAR ADVENTURES CAMPER CODE OF CONDUCT.
