Title: Color Run Participation Waiver and Release of Liability

1) Event and Organizer

- Event: Union Grove Baptist Church Color Run

- Organizer: Union Grove Baptist Church (the “Organizer”)

2) Acknowledgment of Risk

- I understand that participation in a color run involves physical activity and potential risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, exposure to color powder or other substances, heat, dehydration, weather-related hazards, collisions with other participants, and medical emergencies.

3) Release and Waiver of Liability

- In consideration for being allowed to participate, I, on behalf of myself and my minor/child (if applicable), and my/her heirs, successors, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Organizer, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or harm, including death, that may be sustained by me or my property while participating in the Color Run, whether caused by the negligence of the Organizer or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4) Medical Authorization and Assumption of Responsibility

- I authorize emergency medical treatment for myself or my child in the event of an injury or illness during the event. I understand that medical care may be sought if warranted, and I agree to be responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

- I certify that I am physically fit to participate in the Color Run and have consulted a physician if I have any medical conditions that could be aggravated by participation.

5) Health and Safety Acknowledgments

- I agree to follow all event rules, instructions from organizers and volunteers, and posted safety guidelines.

- I understand that color powder used may contain approved non-toxic, cosmetic-grade pigments; however, I release the Organizer from responsibility for any allergic reactions or sensitivities I may have to the substances used, and I agree to take reasonable precautions.

6) Photographic Release

- I grant the Organizer permission to use images, video, or likeness of me or my child taken during the event for promotional or educational purposes, without compensation.

7) Indemnification

- I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer from any and all losses, damages, or costs (including attorney’s fees) arising from my participation or my child’s participation in the event due to my or my child’s acts or omissions.

8) Minor Participant Provision (if applicable)

- If the participant is a minor, a parent/guardian must sign below, indicating consent for participation, medical treatment authorization, and acknowledgment of the terms above.

9) Severability

- If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10) Governing Law

- This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tennessee
