    10:00 am-12:30 pm
  • Celebrate the finale of the One Spot Trail walk series!

Join Laura Ann O’Brien for a special walk through the Merville section of the trail, beginning at Fitzgerald Road and continuing toward Spike Road Park. This 6–8 km, flat and stroller-friendly route follows the historic rail grade and introduces walkers to the newly added Spike Road Park lands — an ecologically sensitive area that includes wetlands, maturing second-growth forest, and important wildlife habitat.

As we close out this year’s series, we’ll explore the railway history that shaped the Valley, the farming families who settled here, and how new parkland expansions are protecting biodiversity and strengthening community connections.

  • Meeting Location:

Please meet at the One Spot Trail entrance on Fitzgerald Road in Merville. Parking is available along the roadside and in a small lot near mailboxes on Fitzgerald Road right before south farnham road. (map)
