Background
With over 8 years of sobriety, Alexis Lawson is a purpose-driven, real-talk speaker who has been inspiring audiences for over 7 years. From overcoming addiction and incarceration to thriving as an entrepreneur, Alexis brings lived experience, raw honesty, and transformative hope to every stage.
She got her start in 12-step meetings, sharing her story dozens of times, which sparked her passion for speaking and writing keynotes that now reach far beyond the recovery community. Alexis is the founder of Detox Sober Lounge, a movement creating safe, sober spaces for fun, healing, and transformation.
Experience
Over the years, Alexis has impacted lives at Northpoint Treatment Center, 50th Street Landing Re-entry Program, Nebraska Family Works Treatment Center, and Youth 360. She has also shared hope inside Douglas County Detox and most recently partnered with the Douglas County Youth Center to support youth programs. Alexis connects with both youth and adults who feel overlooked, stuck, or ready for change, delivering messages of resilience, healing, and purpose that spark lasting transformation.
Programs
Passionate about community impact, Alexis also facilitates The L.I.T.T. Program, a workshop series designed to build self-awareness, resilience, and life skills across 14 key areas. Her mission is simple: to remind people that no matter what they’ve been through, they can rise, rebuild, and live with purpose.
