Important Note: this exhibit will be up for approx. 2 months, instead of the usual 1 month period, running through January 2026.
Winter Wonders and the Gift of Art is the theme of the exhibit. Artwork depicting winter scenes and activities, holiday cheer and the joy of the season may be submitted.
As a special condition of this exhibit, artwork that is more general in style or theme, that makes for interesting holiday gift ideas, and is priced no higher than $125.00 such as small paintings, ceramics, fused glass, mosaics, textiles, small sculptures, assemblages, etc. may also be submitted.
Please AVOID submitting artwork that speaks to the other seasons of the year, such as wildflowers and fall colors, as well as the typical desert landscapes and southwestern themes (unless they include winter and/or holiday subjects) - we have other themed exhibits where these artworks are more appropriate.
About the number of submissions:
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces of artwork under our standard terms and conditions, with no set restriction on the size or pricing (size is only an issue if space becomes limited).
For this special exhibit, we are specifically seeking more artwork that is generally smaller and makes for perfect holiday gifts, and that falls into the lower price ranges so that we have a good selection of artwork to match many different holiday gift-giving budgets. For this purpose, we are allowing artists to submit additional pieces, as follows:
Artists may submit up to 6 pieces of artwork under our standard terms and conditions that also meet the following requirements:
1. All artwork submitted must be priced to sell at no more than $125.00
2. All hanging pieces must be no more than 15" on the longest side (including the frame) and non-hanging pieces must be suitable to be displayed on a 12" square pedestal surface.
If your artwork is priced and sized accordingly and you wish to submit more than 3 pieces and up to 6 pieces for the exhibit, please complete the standard form further below with your first 3 choices, then resubmit this form with your additional submissions. Please include in the comments section at the bottom that you are submitting more than 3 pieces for the exhibit.
If you experience any problems using this form, please email art@cortezculturalcenter.org
