  • Fees & Provision

Unlike council schools, an outdoor independent school would not receive government funding. Despite the strong evidence for the benefits of outdoor learning, the Scottish Government is not currently willing to fund this model of education. To make it possible, the school would need to operate as a fee-paying independent school.

Based on staffing, facilities, and running costs, the annual fees for a full-time place would be in the region of £10,000–£12,000 per year (including VAT), for a 38-week school year (term-time, in line with local authority schools).

  • Would you be willing to pay between £10,000 and £12,000 per year (£835–£1,000 per month over 12 months) for your child to attend?
  • Would you be interested in additional services (for an extra cost)?
  • What would your child’s preference be for lunch?
