  • What happens if there is no Booking for an AM Trip

If a student arrives at the bus in the morning without a booking, and a seat is available, the bus driver will attempt to contact the parent or guardian to confirm that the student is permitted to travel.

The bus driver will add the student to the manifest and then complete a 'Not Booked - Travelled' report notifying the College Office of the additional student not registered on the travel manifest.

A No Booking Fee of $5.00 will be added to the student(s) RollCall account.

If a staff member has to collect a student with no booking due to the bus being at capacity, the parent or guardian will be charged a fee of $50.00.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please email buses@noosacc.qld.edu.au

  • What happens if a Student advises that they are getting off at a different stop than what is recorded in RollCall (PM Trip)

PM Bus Bookings must be finalised by no later than 2:30 pm each day.

Bus Drivers have been instructed not to drop any students at stops on their route other than the booked stop.

If a student arrives at the bus in the afternoon and tells the Bus Driver that they are getting off at a different stop than what is recorded in RollCall, the Bus Driver will inform the student that they are unable to change their stop location.

The Bus Driver will complete their route as listed and only allow students to disembark at their correct, booked stop.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please email buses@noosacc.qld.edu.au

  • What happens if there is no Booking for a PM Trip

If a student arrives at the bus in the afternoon without a booking, they will not be allowed to ride the bus and the student will be sent to the College Office.

The parent or guardian will be asked to collect their student from the school.
The student will be supervised until the parent, guardian, or other nominated adult can arrived to collect the student.

If a staff member stays past 4:00 pm in order to supervise a student waiting to be collected by a parent, guardian or other nominated adult, the parent or guardian will be charged a fee of $50.00.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please email buses@noosacc.qld.edu.au

  • What happens if an AM Booking has not been made and the Bus is at Capacity

All buses will travel their full route each morning and stop at each designated bus stop at the nominated time.

If a student is waiting at a designated pick-up point, does not have a booking, and the bus is at capacity, the Bus Driver will stop and attempt to contact the parent or guardian.

The parent or guardian will be asked to collect their student and arrange an alternative method of travelling to school.

If the parent or guardian cannot be contacted, the Bus Driver will contact a staff member at Noosa Christian College.

A staff member will attempt to contact the parent or guardian.

If the parent or guardian cannot be contacted, two staff members will drive a College vehicle to collect the student.

Only once the student is collected will the Bus Driver leave the stop and continue with their usual route – this delay will be communicated to all other families on the route who are yet to be collected.

If a staff member has to collect a student with no booking due to the bus being at capacity, the parent or guardian will be charged a fee of $50.00.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please email buses@noosacc.qld.edu.au

  • What happens if a PM Booking has not been made and the Bus is at Capacity

If a student attempts to get on the bus in the afternoon and is not booked on the RollCall App, and the bus is at capacity, the bus driver will send the student to the office.

The parent or guardian will be asked to collect their student from the school.
The student will be supervised until the parent, guardian, or other nominated adult can arrive to collect the student.

If a staff member stays past 4:00 pm in order to supervise a student waiting to be collected by a parent, guardian or other nominated adult, the parent or guardian will be charged a fee of $50.00.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please email buses@noosacc.qld.edu.au

  • What happens if the Bus breaks Down

If the bus breaks down, the Bus Driver will contact a staff member at Noosa Adventist College.

If a replacement bus is available, it will be sent to collect the students who have already boarded and will then continue with the usual route – a staff member will contact all parents or guardians on the affected Bus Route via SMS

If a replacement bus is not available, a staff member will contact all parents or guardians on the affected Bus Route via SMS to advise them to collect their student or arrange an alternative method of travelling to school/home.

  • Why do I need to mark my Student Absent on RollCall

Updating any planned absences or changes to your child’s travel schedule via the RollCall for Parents App help us keep your child safe and ensure smooth daily bus operations. Here's why:

    • Student Safety: When a student is unexpectedly absent and we haven’t been informed, it can raise concerns about their wellbeing. Prompt communication helps us confirm that your child is safe and accounted for.
    • Time Management: Bus drivers and staff follow tight schedules. Knowing in advance if a student won’t be attending helps avoid unnecessary delays and allows us to focus on supporting those who are present.
    • Emergency Preparedness: In case of emergencies or evacuations, accurate attendance records are crucial. Notifying us of absences ensures we have the correct information at all times.

Please update your child’s travel bookings via the RollCall for Parents App as early as possible if your child will be absent. Your cooperation helps us provide a safer and more efficient environment for all students.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please email buses@noosacc.qld.edu.au
