This is a Level 3 qualification which delivers content and sets assignments at that level. Evidence of learning at Level 2 such as a GCSE or Level 2 qualification would demonstrate that the level of content on this Level 3 Qualification should be achievable for the learner.

In the absence of that, we, as a centre, need to establish that the course would be appropriate for the learner to both benefit from and understand the content of the qualification and also to be able to demonstrate this in assessment. We do not want to set an individual up to fail where an alternative course would be a more suitable course of action.

The question below is indicative of the type of assessment activity the qualification uses and acts as an initial assessment for us to determine course suitability in the absence of evidence of prior learning at Level 2.
