• Application for Summer 2026

  • The Gucker Campership Fund (the “Fund”) supports parents and guardians with the cost of tuition for the North Country Camps–Camp Lincoln and Camp Whippoorwill. The Board recognizes the incredible impact that camp has on campers and it is thrilled to help send children to camp, to the extent possible. 

    The primary application deadline is February 1, 2026. Funding decisions will be communicated to families approximately one month after the application deadline. The Fund will consider applications after the February 1, 2026 deadline on a rolling basis. Unfortunately, funds are limited so the Board may not be able to fund late applicants.

    Notes about funding and the application process:

    • We ask that you complete the requested information fully and honestly.
    • The Fund understands the information provided is very personal and the Board will keep it strictly confidential. The names of applicants are only seen by Meg Johnson, and shared with the Executive Director and Business Manager of North Country Camps. Occasionally a need arises for applicant names to be shared with the Board’s legal counsel. Names are not shared with anyone else, including the Fund’s Board of Directors during the application review process.
      If the funding you are offered is insufficient, please contact the Executive Director of North Country Camps and email apply@guckerfund.org. 
      Once funding is awarded, we ask that families please view this as a commitment. If you are unable to send your child to camp for any reason, please email apply@guckerfund.org as quickly as possible. This can free up funding for another family
      Payment of awards is made directly by the Fund to North Country Camps.

    1. Before applying for funding, ensure that your child is registered at Camp Lincoln or Camp Whippoorwill and let the director know you are applying to the Fund.
    2. Complete each section of the application to the best of your ability and sign the application form. If a section or question does not apply to you, please write N/A.
    3. Attach complete copies, including relevant schedules, of your U.S. federal income tax form(s) for the past three years (including the current year, if available). If you have previously sent these tax forms to the Fund, you do not need to resend them. The Fund should have on file tax forms from 2025, 2024 & 2023 OR 2024, 2023 & 2022.
      Please ensure that all social security numbers are redacted.
      You can submit your tax documents within the online application or by mailing the documents to the address below.
      Note: If you do not have a tax return, please provide letters or paperwork stating that your family qualifies for one or more of the following: Eligibility for the school lunch program; Medicaid or CHIP; Public housing or Section 8 voucher; SNAP Benefits; SSI (Supplemental Security Income); Social Security Survivors of Disability Insurance; Veterans’ benefits
    4. Send additional documents as instructed in the application to apply@guckerfund.org or to the address below.
    5. If parents are separated or divorced, each parent must fully complete an individual application and submit appropriate tax returns.
    6. If you are not able to provide certain information, please explain in a letter to the Board sent to apply@guckerfund.org. 
    7. If you are applying for more than one child, please complete this application in its entirety and complete the "Additional Child" form for each additional child.

Every living biological parent and legal guardian (including step-parents) will need to submit their information in order for an application to be considered complete. Later, you will have the opportunity to invite parents/guardians from outside of your household to create their own account and fill out a separate application.

  • The Fund requires your three most recent years of U.S. federal tax forms to be on file; depending on when you complete you taxes, it could be years 2023, 2024 & 2025 or 2022, 2023 & 2024.

    If you previously submitted your tax forms, you only need to submit the most recent year. You can submit you tax documents using the upload features in this section. Please redact all social security numbers before submitting your tax documents to the Fund.
