    Who can lift in the Bomb Squad SuperFlight? We will have our normal British Championships for our equipped Bomb Squad bench only competitors. All of our qualified members will be emtered into the Bomb Squad SuperFlight automatically and compete against the non-members and international competitors for a full on showdown. 

    When? 27 - 29 March 

    Where: The Arnold Sports Festival UK, National Exhibition Centre, Pendigo Way, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1NT

    What Time? Start Time 10am each day 

    Weigh in times: 10am to 12 noon and 3pm to 4pm for 24 hour weigh in. There is NO on the day weigh in. Location to be announced

    What is the split? 

    Friday: ALL ABPU men (apart from equipped bench, you lift Saturday)

    Saturday: ALL BPU men and women, AND The Bomb Squad Superflight (all equipped bench including open and international lifters) AND the NoHoldsBarred Deadlift SuperFlight. 

    Sunday: ALL ABPU women, AND the RAW Bench Superflight.

    How many platforms? 2 platforms - it will be busy

    BOMB SQUAD SUPERFLIGHT - Sunday 29 March

    This flight is not part of the British Championships placings.

    If you are competing in the British Championships equipped flight bench only section, then you are part of the Bomb Squad and will be automatically entered into the Bomb Squad SuperFlight so DO NOT use this entry form. 

    What happens in the SuperFlight? 

    1) The SuperFlight is "open" so non members and international lifters can compete. Records can only be taken if the competitor is a current 2026 member of the A/BPU or of  a WPC International Country affiliate and your membership ust be produced at weigh in and logged. 

    2) There are no minimum qualifying standards for this SuperFlight for non-me,ers and international lifters. 

    3) The winner of the SuperFlight is determined from the greatest Glossbrenner points of weight lifted, bodyweight, age and sex adjusted. So anyone can win, you cant just stroll in to this one!

    Sanction: This is sanctioned by the British Powerlifting Union (WPC UK) and the international sanction by the World Powerlifting Congress for national and international entries. 

    Rules: This is run under WPC rules.

    Record attempts: All those with either a A/BPU or international affiliate WPC membership will be able to take European and World records. 

    Each category will close when the entries are filled. You are NOT entered until payment is made. 

    WHAT DO YOU GET WITH YOUR ENTRY?

    1) Entry to an internationally sanctioned event where you can attempt and take British, European and World records 

    2) With your entry, you get 3 days entry to the Arnold Sports Festival UK worth £84.00 as early entry

    3) Access to a coaches pass for £30 which also gives 3 days early entry worth £84.00

    ATHLETE PASSES

    All competitors get a pass included in their entry for all 3 days of the Expo. You will be given your pass when you weigh in on Thursday for Friday competitors, and we will have one extra person at weigh ins if you compete later in the week and would like it earlier than that.

    COACH TICKET - must be purchased at time of entry

    Coaches passes. You can buy a 3 day pass for your coach which is £31.20  and a tremendous deal and includes early entry which you will need for warming up. You will have to nominate a coach if you wish to purchase a coaches ticket at the time of entering. You CANNOT purchase this at a later date - only during this entry process. You can however edit the name on the coaches pass up until we close the entries. You can  only have one per lifter.

    WEIGH INS:

    As this is an internationally sanctioned event, no on the day weigh ins are permitted. Where the weigh ins will be held, we will be advised closer to the time. Weigh in times are posted on the web site, the Facebook Page and are regularly re-posted. Please DO NOT contact us to ask when they are!

    ACCESS TO THE VENUE FOR COMPETITORS ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION

    You will have access to the venue from 8am onward on your competing day (to be confirmed). The entrance and where you go for athlete access, we will have closer to the time and probably a few days before. This information will go on the FB event page. 

     EDITING YOUR ENTRY FORM

    If you need to edit your entry form, there is an edit link on the autoreply confirmation email of your entry - please update any changes to your weight or division class, or coaches pass name BY THE 10th MARCH which is the closing date, edits will stop on that date, using the link. 

     

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

    I hereby agree to enter this competition on the following terms:

     1.  In consideration of the acceptance of this entry thereby for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators waive and release any and all claims and damages I may have against the BPU, ABPU, AWPC, WPC the organisers, volunteers, Venue owners, their representatives, successors, and assignees for any RAW Bench Superflight and all injuries or bodily harm that I may suffer while competing at the A/BPU A/BPU Single Lifts British Championships.  I attest and verify that I have full knowledge of all risks involved with my participation in this event, and that to the best of my knowledge I am physically fit and able to participate in this event. I acknowledge I take part and present completely at my own risk and take full repsonsibility for any all losses to self or others including injury, disease infection, emotional or physical damage or any other claim.

     2. That I know of no reason why I should not take part on the grounds of ill health or any other associated condition, known or unknown. That I have taken all regulations and precautions and government guidelines which are protocols in place for this competiton from the time of my entry. That travel, hotel bookings and all other competiton related bookings are my own repsonsibility solely. 

     3.  I have paid my entry fee today which I understand is non-refundable under any circumstances,  Bank payment for entry is below which I understand is required to be paid on the same day this entry is sent to the indicated bank details. I understand that entries will CLOSE once the classes are full as ths is a federsation policy and is non-negotiable and made clear on the web site. 

      4. The federation will not hold or post any medals, trophies or other associated competiton winnings if the competitior does not collect them at the ceremony on the day. 

     5. All A/BPU and WPC international members MUST produce their membership PDF at weigh in otherwise the competitor shall not be permitted to attempt or claim British or World records. This is absolutely not negotiable. 

    6/      PLEASE NOTE: I understand that weigh ins are 24 hours only and I fully read and understood the rules. I also attest thst I have qualified for this competition and am subject to a ban should I attempt to enter without invitation and qualification. 

    7. ALL Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of circumstances. 

    8. Competitors must be aware that any abusive or threatening behaviour toward any member of staff, volunteer or other competitor will result in removal form the competition without refund and ban form the federation. 

    9. I understand the health risks involved and am attending in full knowledge of those risks which I am solely repsonsible for. I do not hold the A/BPU WPC UK Ltd responsible for any health condition incurred from attendance to this venue or competition and will attend in full knowledge of the risks. 

    10. I understand that I must comply by all health and safety regimes put in place for this competition and failure to do so will result in my removal from this competition without refund. Warnings will be issued once during the competiton and I understand I will be removed if warned again. 

    11. I have qualified for this competition and any false imformation given will result in my removal from the competition without refund and being banned form the federation.
