  • CAMP Fairbridge New Camp Packages 

    At Fairbridge our leaders have been busy discussing camp aims and outcomes with hundreds of teachers from schools across WA. The feedback from these conversations along with our research into the latest trends in outdoor education and curriculum, have led to the development of “CAMP Fairbridge Packages”. This new structure ensures that every camp experience is relevant, achievable, and tailored to your group’s priorities.

    First select your camp location, next fill out your groups specific information then you will have the opportunity to select the camp package that best suits your groups needs.

      Depending on your organisations budget or desired level of Instructor lead activities, your activity program will be determined by your budget package selection. Gold, Silver or Bronze.

      Gold

      • An all-inclusive experience, with Fairbridge led activities throughout the camp.
      • The Gold package is for groups who want to have access to the full scope of selected activities within their chosen Camp Theme.

      Silver

      • An all-inclusive experience, with Fairbridge led activities throughout the camp.
      • The Silver package is perfect for groups who are happy with a slightly reduced selection of activities within their chosen Camp Theme.

      Bronze

      • A hybrid camp for groups who want to take part in a range of classic Fairbridge led activities, while self-facilitating aspects of the camp each day.
      • The Bronze package is for a wide range of groups, spanning outdoor education classes to corporate groups and retreats.

      Bespoke

      • On the rare occasion that your organisation has a camp in mind that doesn’t fit within any of these packages or themes, we do offer a Bespoke option, Our team will work with you to design a tailored schedule that supports your program needs.

    • 4. Camp Theme - Based on Core Aims 
    • CAMP THEMES
      Each camp package include a variety of carefully selected Outdoor Education activities, combined with different leadership styles and facilitated discussions to ensure the specific aims are met for each camp. Below is a description of each Camp Theme and the kind of groups who would gravitate toward these camps:
       
      Adventure Camp is for the group seeking a classic Outdoor Education experience, combining activities like rock climbing, kayaking and archery with an upbeat leadership style. This camp is perfect for school groups or adventure clubs wanting to expand their comfort zones while having fun!
       
      Leadership Camp is for groups wanting to strengthen their team work and communication skills, while creating opportunities for leaders to emerge through facilitated team building activities like Crate Climb, Raft Building and Orienteering. This is the ideal camp for new or existing groups, whether it be a school class, sporting club or corporate team.
       
      Mindfulness Camp has been created in alignment with the latest societal and educational trends, recognising that healthy personal development includes self-awareness and reflective practices. Activities like bush walking and stand up paddleboarding will be combined with facilitated conversations about self-belief and resilience.
       
      Nature Camp is for groups wanting to take part in classic adventure experiences, while focusing their attention on the natural environment. These camps create space in the day to slow down and connect, while taking part in environmental projects such as tree planning, marine conservation or permaculture gardening. Depending on the site, these camps may include activities such as mountain biking, bush craft or snorkelling combined with conversations around sustainability and sense of place.

    • Package Activity Description
      LAND
      Bronze Orienteering 1.5hrs Working together in pairs, participants will work together to navigate their way around a set course, finding key objects of markers. Map reading, feature based navigation and learning how to determine directions using the sun will be taught.
      Bronze Bush/Coastal Walk 1.5hrs Explore the local environment beyond the camp itself as your group navigates their way through the diverse and contrasting landscapes. Work together as a team to find your way using maps and local landmarks, along with clues along the way.
      Bronze Shelter Building 1.5hrs Learn how to tie an Overhand, Bowline, Roundturn and Two Half Hitches, then rig a shelter using a tarpaulin and ropes between the trees. Shelters can be rigged in a variety of different ways to provide shade, wind breaks or catch water run off depending on the weather. This is a fun, hands on and creative activity, combining team work and bush craft.
      Bronze Team Building 1.5hrs Communication, group dynamics and leadership will all be explored in these fun and upbeat activities. Participants will work together to complete a set of challenges and problem solving games. Focus will be on team work, positive communication and support for one another.
      Bronze Camp Fires 1.5hrs There are few things in life better than a camp fire beneath the nights sky. Learn how to create a fire using sticks, leaves and logs from the local environment, then enjoy the warmth and toast marshmallows together as a group.
      WATER
      Bronze Beach/Lake Games 1.5hrs Beach games combine classic problem solving and team games with the local shallow water and sandy shoreline environments. Some fast paced, others slow and creative, participants will need to work together while having light hearted fun!
      Bronze Raft Building 1.5hrs Learn how to tie a Reef Knot and Bowline, along with how to create a Square Lashing. Then build your raft using inflatable tyre tubes, pvc pipes and ropes, before racing them around a short water course with your team. Raft Building requires problem solving, effective communication and team work.
      Bronze Surf Aware 1.5hrs Combining fundamental Surf Life Saving knowledge with a series of individual and team based challenges, Surf Aware is a perfect complement to any water based camp, particularly for groups interested in team work and leadership.
      SELF FACILITATED
      Bronze Quiz Add some self directed fun to your camp with a Quiz Night! This includes a set of questions and games that encourage fun competition between your participants of all ages and abilities. Add your own prices or categories to make it an even more personalised experience. Additional venue spaces and microphones can be hired separately if required.
      Bronze Minute to Win It A series of light hearted indoor games to bring laughter and a healthy sense of competition to your group. Minute to Win it provides another opportunity to bring your participants together during camp.
      Bronze Camp Fire Games Classic games to play with your participants around a camp fire. These light hearted games can bring a sense of community within your group and may be the perfect accompaniment to your own self facilitated debrief of conversations around the fire.
      Bronze Scavenger Hunt The scavenger hunt is designed to allow participants to navigate their way around the camp grounds, finding objects and clues to answer questions about the site. Participants are supplied clipboards and question sheets to complete along their way.

      • Per full day onsite: you may select a maximum of 4 x 1.5-hour activities
      • 3-hour activities count as 2 activities due to the longer session length
      (3-hour activities include: Canoe, High Ropes, Abseil, Mountain Bike – Intermediate, Sandboarding)

      Arrival & Departure Days:
      • Arrival must be before 11:30 AM to participate in activities
      • Departure must be after 12:30 PM to participate in activities

After warming up with fundamental cycling skills and gear changes, participants will have the opportunity to ride set trails around the local area, exploring the local landscape on two wheels!
      Silver Archery 1.5hrs Are you the next Robin Hood? Learn how to safely use a bow n arrow under the guidance of our qualified instructors, then put your skills to the test and see if you can hit the bulls eye! Archery is a classic outdoor adventure activity, enjoyed by participants of all ages and abilities.

Participants will learn basic paddle strokes and safety information, then test their skills with a team relay race, group games and longer explorative paddle to build on their skills. Recommended age 9+
      ROPES
      Silver Crate Climb Work together to build a tower of crates as high as your team can manage! Your team will need to work together, with one team attached to a belay, balancing on the stacked crate tower, while their team builds and stabilises the tower from the ground up!! Can your team beat the record of 22 crates high?
      Silver Vertical Climb A vertical obstacle course to be completed from the ground up! Work together with your partner as you both climb smooth pine logs, spinning tyres and rope cargo nets from ground level to the roof, before being lowered back to the ground on your backup belay lines.
      Silver Low Ropes Inspired by the rigging on an old sailing ship, low ropes courses are one of the most longstanding challenge elements in Outdoor Adventure. Requiring, balance, agility, problem solving skills and team work, Low Ropes courses are a fantastic additon to any camp.
      Silver Prussick Prussicking is a method of ascending and descending a rock climbing rope with a climbing harness and series of friction knots called a prusick's. Efficient prussicking technique combines problem solving, co-ordination, flexibility and strength.
      SELF FACILITATED
      Bronze Quiz Work together to build a tower of crates as high as your team can manage! Your team will need to work together, with one team attached to a belay, balancing on the stacked crate tower, while their team builds and stabilises the tower from the ground up!! Can your team beat the record of 22 crates high?

      LAND
      Bronze Shelter Building 1.5hrs Learn how to tie an Overhand, Bowline, Roundturn and Two Half Hitches, then rig a shelter using a tarpaulin and ropes between the trees. Shelters can be rigged i a variety of different ways to provide shade, wind breaks or catch water run off depending on the weather. This is a fun, hands on and creative activity, combining team work and bush craft.
      Bronze Team Building 1.5hrs Communication, group dynamics and leadership will all be explored in these fun and upbeat activities. Participants will work together to complete a set of challenges and problem solving games. Focus will be on team work, positive communication and support for one another.
      Bronze Camp Fires 1.5hrs There are few things in life better than a camp fire beneath the nights sky. Learn how to create a fire using sticks, leaves and logs from the local environment, then enjoy the warmth and toast marshmallows together as a group.
      SELF FACILITATED
      Bronze Quiz Add some self directed fun to your camp with a Quiz Night! This includes a set of questions and games that encourage fun competition between your participants of all ages and abilities. Add your own prices or categories to make it an even more personalised experience. Additional venue spaces and microphones can be hired separately if required.
      Bronze Minute to Win It A series of light hearted indoor games to bring laughter and a healthy sense of competition to your group. Minute to Win it provides another opportunity to bring your participants together during camp.
      Bronze Camp Fire Games Classic games to play with your participants around a camp fire. These light hearted games can bring a sense of community within your group and may be the perfect accompaniment to your own self facilitated debrief of conversations around the fire.
      Bronze Scavenger Hunt The scavenger hunt is designed to allow participants to navigate their way around the camp grounds, finding objects and clues to answer questions about the site. Participants are supplied clipboards and question sheets to complete along their way.
