2025 Legacy Builder Campaign Application

The Legacy Builder Campaign, now in its fourth year, celebrating Birmingham-area nonprofits that are creating a lasting impact by honoring the late C.M. Newton’s legacy. Following in the footsteps of C.M. Newton, who integrated Alabama men’s basketball and recruited the University’s first Black athlete, the campaign continues his legacy of courage, progress and opportunity. Local businesses and community members are invited to nominate Birmingham-area nonprofits whose missions and programs reflect these values. Nominations require a short questionnaire about the organization, its work and how it impacts the community. If you were a Legacy Builder in 2024, you will not be eligible to win again this year. If you have won prior to 2024, you are eligible to for this year's application.
The Legacy Builder organizations/nonprofits will receive a $2,500 donation as well a professional produced video spot that will be shared during the C.M. Newton Classic.

Please complete the application to nominate a Legacy Builder. All submissions are due by Monday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. CT. Submitting multiple applications from the same nominee for the same organization are not premitted.

If you are selected as a winner, the video shoot will be Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Legacy Arena. If you are unable to make the video shoot this day, there will not be a make up date.
