Consistent Elite Performance
The goal is to achieve Consistent Elite Performance. We assess this with the following question:
1. Recently or this past season, what % of games have you performed near or at your full capability?
*
e.g. 50% games played near or at my potential
The 'ZONE' vs 'In Your Own Head'
The overall mental result of working on your mental toughness is playing in the 'ZONE' (i.e., confident, relaxed, focused, in the moment). The opposite is being in your own head (i.e., distracted, overthinking, doubting, worrying).
2. Recently or this past season, what % of your time & energy were you in the 'ZONE' (vs being 'In Your Own Head')?
*
e.g. 45% in the zone
**These 2 Ratings Should be Similar**
The mental result of being in the 'ZONE' causes you to perform consistently at your full capability. So if you want to get your performance up, then you need to get in the 'ZONE' more!
