    The Committee on Constitution and Canons invites all regular attenders, and members of Diocesan Congregations, to participate in a 3-week period of time to review and give substantive feedback on the Committee's proposed amendments to the Diocesen Constitution and Canons (C&Cs). 

    If you have not read the Diocesan Chancellor's letter, please do so before filling out this feedback form.

    All documents referenced in this form are linked below.

     

    Your voice matters!

    • The Constitution is the first section in the C&Cs. It is organized by "Article", denoted by roman numerals, some Articles will have Sections and Subsections.
    • The Canons are the second section in the C&Cs. They are organized by Title, also denoted by roman numerals, however, each Title has at least one Canon, some Canons have Sections and Subsections.
    • Please do not use this form for copy edit feedback. Any grammatical feedback can be sent to chancellor@midwestanglican.org.

    What happens next?

    The Committee on Constitution and Canons will review all of the feedback received and create a revised amendment draft. This draft will go before the Standing Committee.

    After review by the Standing Committee, they will vote to recommend a penultimate draft which will be sent to clergy and lay delegates (by October 10) in preparation for the Synod meeting on Friday, October 24.

    At Synod, clergy and lay delegates will vote on the amended Constitution and Canons, and conduct other business as needed.
