  • Augusta Symphony has amazing musicians come from across the region to perform at and facilitate educational programs. Community Chords Classroom Concerts bring Symphony musicians into classrooms across the CSRA and are scheduled around our Pops! and Symphony Series concerts. These concerts focus on engaged learning and can be for smaller groups in classrooms or for larger assemblies. After a successful pilot last season, Community Chords does plan to offer several Classroom Concerts specifically for Homeschoolers at the Miller Theater.

    There are several stages to the process of partnering with Community Chords for a Classroom Concert:
    1) Gathering School Interest & Availability
    2) Gathering Musician Interest & Availability
    3) Identifying Volunteer Support
    4) Matching Process
    5) Scheduling Visit & Final Logistics

    We will try to fulfill as many requests as funding, scheduling, and musician availability allow during this season.

    Please mark which dates your school and students are available to to participate in a Classroom Concert. Note: indicating availability does not mean a scheduled visit at this stage. Morning visits will be between 8:30AM - 11:30AM; Afternoon visits between 12:00PM - 2:00PM. Actual times and specific details will be coordinated with the Program Director.
