Please note that if accepted, you will also need to complete the Birthright Israel Onward form, which will be included in your acceptance email.
FJL Summer in Tel Aviv 2026 Application & Onboarding:
- Complete the FJL Application (this form). The application will ask for some basic personal information, details about your Jewish background and involvement, and two short essay questions (100-150 words each). It should take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
After your application has been reviewed, you may be invited to schedule an online interview.
You will be notified within two weeks regarding the outcome of your application. If accepted onto the programme, a non-refundable deposit of £500 will be due within five days in order to confirm your place.
- Internship Placement: After paying your deposit and filling out the Birthright Israel Onward form, you will begin the internship placement process with FJL’s internship coordinators. Further details about the placement process can be found on the FJL website.
- The remaining balance is due when your internship is confirmed or two months before the programme starts, whichever comes first.
- Financial Assistance: The full cost of setting up and running the programme is in excess of £6,000. UJIA provides everyone with an automatic scholarship and Birthright Israel Onward provides automatic scholarships for applicants who haven’t participated in an education-based Israel programme for over 3 months (in the last 3 years), reducing the cost to £2,450. You may request additional financial assistance in the application.
*Flight costs are not included.
**Participants must purchase travel health insurance through FJL’s group policy. More details will follow.
***Programme costs are in Israeli Shekels and based on a UK£/Shekel exchange rate of 4.4. If there is a significant drop in the exchange rate, then we may have to ask for an increased payment.
