CANADIAN BISON ASSOCIATION NATIONAL SHOW & SALE RULES AND REGULATIONS
· Exhibitors must be members in good standing of the Canadian Bison Association.
· All entries are subject to the General Rules & Regulations of Canadian Western Agribition. Please refer to these rules and read them carefully. These are available online at http://www.agribition.com or contact the CBA office for a hard copy.
· Liabilities: The consignor assumes all responsibilities regarding the above-mentioned terms and conditions of this show and sale including but not limited to; proper health testing and documentations, proper documentation of a positive pregnancy test (where applicable) and the documentation of age. The CBA acts only as agent and will assume NO responsibility in the event of injury or death or of a discrepancy between the buyer and consignor.
· The Canadian Bison Association, its officers, agents, or employees, assume no responsibility for any animal before, during, or after the Canadian National Bison Show and Sale.
· Import and export: farmed bison within all provinces except British Colombia are bovine and follow cattle regulations. For movement within Canada, a Record of Movement of Bison is required by the Canadian Bison Association.
· Judges reserve the right to disqualify any animals from the show or sale if in their opinion the animal appears to be diseased, in an unhealthy condition or wrong age.
· Incoming animals: Yard personnel will be available to unload animals between 1:00-6:00 PM Friday November 21st and 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Saturday November 22nd. Bison will be stalled in the Commercial Cattle Barn immediately west of the Stockman’s Arena. A $50 fee will be assigned to consignors who arrive outside the posted hours. Bison may begin release after the sale on Tuesday evening November 25th until 9:00 PM and between 6:00 -9:00 AM on November 26th. All bison must be out of the barns by NOON, Wednesday November 26th.
· Insurance:
Optional Incoming Transit and Premises Insurance is available at $0.65/$100 value.
Coverage would begin once the animals are loaded at the consignor and would end once the animals are loaded to leave the sale premises. Coverage is provided for death or death rendered necessary by a veterinarian due to physical injury sustained because of transit or handling. A post-mortem will be required to determine the cause of loss. There is no coverage for sickness or disease.
Losses that occur before the sale will be paid based on sale average of similar animals (age, sex) to a max of $7500 per head. Losses which occur after the sale will be paid based on animal’s selling price to a max of $7500 per head.

NOTE: Judges and/or CBA appointed official, have the right to remove any animal that maybe injured or in an unhealthy condition at time of arrival or at any point during the show.
Woods/Plains % score must be verified by the Neogen test.
