Have you ever struggled with float tension or peek-through colors in stranded colorwork? Do you like trying a new technique? Join us for our Zoom workshop with national teacher Jennifer Miller to learn ladderback jacquard, a colorwork technique that will solve (almost) all your pesky colorwork problems. We’ll practice by knitting a cute hat with hearts and learn how to apply this technique to other colorwork charts.

Our guest teacher, Jennifer Miller, lives in Colorado and will teach us via Zoom. As a student, however, you have TWO options for where to take the workshop. You can either log into our fiber guild Zoom meeting room from your home (log-in info will be sent later) OR you can join other guild members in-person in a big, cheerful, help-each-other group at our usual fiber guild monthly meeting space where we’ll follow along with Jennifer on the big TV.

This workshop assumes you have some familiarity with knitting two-color stranded colorwork, sometimes called fairisle knitting. You do not have to be an expert, but you do need at least a little practical experience with how you personally like to juggle two strands of yarn at one time and how to read colorwork charts.

You can pay the workshop fee the same way that you pay your annual dues. Pay by cash/check at any meeting to our Treasurer. The fee can also be paid using PayPal. Please mark it “friends/family” and NOT “goods/services”. Use this address: paypal.me/GBFiberGuild or use our gmail account gbfiberguild@gmail.com

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is homework for this workshop! But don’t worry, it’s easy!
