  • 2025 WORKSHOPS

Workshops designed to delight your classroom built with our 2025 season in mind.

NEW FOR 2025! ONE THOUGHT, MANY VOICES
Students become experts on a specific line of text, exploring meaning, tone and vocal possibilities. The classroom collaboratively reconstructs the full passage to illuminate and discover the section's collective meaning. An activity built to strengthen crucial listening, speaking and close-reading skills while building classroom community.

NEW FOR 2025! BIG STORIES IN LITTLE SPACES
This lively, hands-on workshop gets students moving and thinking creatively as they use only their bodies and voices to bring stories to life. Applying the practices of Platform Theatre, this unique and engaging activity builds a deeper understanding of storytelling, character and teamwork through a hilarious challenge inspired by this season's Midsummer mechanicals.

    METAPHOR THEATRE
Decipher dense, poetic text through the important role of imagery in classical works by having your classroom build the image themselves. A fun and silly opportunity to appreciate the impact of language firsthand.

    STORYPOINT THEATRE
Students take center stage in this workshop! Bring the story of your play to life within your very own classroom as students physically and dynamically work through the plot points and character development of the classic they are studying.

WHY DID THEY DO IT LIKE THAT?
Focus in on APT's interpretation of the text as Teaching Artists discuss everything about the production. A discussion of collaboration from all different departments (lights, costumes, sound, Voice & Text) and the final end product your classroom experienced.

    ACTOR TALK
An opportunity for students to learn more about the world of repertory and classical theater from the perspective of professional actors. An energizing conversation with time for Q&As with industry experts.

  • Please provide the following information for each workshop/class requested. Please note that if you are requesting workshops for more than one class at a time, pleease list each class on a separate line.
