  • A Candidate Must:

    • Hold the designation of Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI).
    • Be a GAR Certified Facilitator. Click here for more information on becoming a GAR Certified Facilitator.
    • Exhibit qualities emphasizing a “team spirit” and personal qualities that is harmonious with other members.
    • Submit signed “Prospective GRI Committee Member Service Requirement Agreement”.
    • Submit the completed application and any additional pages necessary to the Director of Professional Development, Georgia Association of REALTORS®; 6065 Barfield Road; Atlanta, GA 30228 or this online form.
    • The completed application must be received by the deadline.
  • Note:

    • The GRI Board of Governors will submit recommendation(s) to fill any vacancies to the GAR President for final appointment to the GRI Board of Governors.
    • The GRI Board of Governors shall forward the qualifications and applications of all candidates meeting outlined criteria as requested by the President.
    • GRI Board of Governors vacancies are typically filled prior to November of each year.

  • GRI Board of Governors Service Requirement Agreement

  • I agree that, should I be selected to serve on the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) Board of Governors, I have read the duties and responsibilities below and that I am capable of and willing to meet these responsibilities as listed. I understand that the term of my appointment as a Governor is two (2) years; which may be renewed for a total of not more than six years, including time as Dean and Associate Dean. (Contributing Members are selected for one-year terms.)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Governors shall attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors usually meets once per quarter.
    2. Governors shall attend all called meetings of the Board of Governors as scheduled by the Dean.
    3. Governors shall serve on subcommittees as appointed by the Dean.
    4. Governors shall serve at GRI core courses or elective courses as appointed by the Dean. Duties on site as assigned by the Dean include: monitoring attendance, controlling the classroom, introducing and evaluating instructors, reviewing curriculum for adherence to NAR learning objectives; proctoring the examination, and adherence to the Georgia Real Estate Commission rules and regulations.
    5. Governors shall serve as on‐site facilitators as necessary to fill the needs of the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute Program on an as needed basis.
    6. Governors are the primary means of promotion of the GRI program. The Dean will assign Governors to boards/associations for which they are responsible. For those boards/associations, the assigned Governor shall be responsible for GRI promotion, presentation of pins and diplomas, and presenting information on the program available from and through the Georgia Association of REALTORS®.
