I agree that, should I be selected to serve on the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) Board of Governors, I have read the duties and responsibilities below and that I am capable of and willing to meet these responsibilities as listed. I understand that the term of my appointment as a Governor is two (2) years; which may be renewed for a total of not more than six years, including time as Dean and Associate Dean. (Contributing Members are selected for one-year terms.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Governors shall attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors usually meets once per quarter.
- Governors shall attend all called meetings of the Board of Governors as scheduled by the Dean.
- Governors shall serve on subcommittees as appointed by the Dean.
- Governors shall serve at GRI core courses or elective courses as appointed by the Dean. Duties on site as assigned by the Dean include: monitoring attendance, controlling the classroom, introducing and evaluating instructors, reviewing curriculum for adherence to NAR learning objectives; proctoring the examination, and adherence to the Georgia Real Estate Commission rules and regulations.
- Governors shall serve as on‐site facilitators as necessary to fill the needs of the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute Program on an as needed basis.
- Governors are the primary means of promotion of the GRI program. The Dean will assign Governors to boards/associations for which they are responsible. For those boards/associations, the assigned Governor shall be responsible for GRI promotion, presentation of pins and diplomas, and presenting information on the program available from and through the Georgia Association of REALTORS®.
