    Volunteers are essential to the success of NOAHCON, and volunteering is also a meaningful way to connect with others and make a lasting impact. To express your interest in volunteering between November 5–7 at the NYU Kimmel Center in New York City, please complete the form below. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee placement.
  • Volunteer Responsibilities

    Registration / Check-in:

    • Assist in setting up and breaking down the registration area.
    • Provide a warm welcome to attendees.
    • Assist attendees with digital check-in, provide general information, and address attendee inquiries.
    • Distribute badges, lanyards, tote bags, and answer any general questions from attendees.
    • Remind attendees to wear badges at all times.
    • Help attendees navigate the conference venue and find their way to sessions.
    • Serve as Info Desk where attendees can inquire about other things related to the locale or event (i.e. local maps, nearby restaurants, speakers, sessions, etc.).

    Session Monitoring / Room Support:

    • Manage and coordinate activities in assigned rooms.
    • Ensure speakers are prepared with necessary resources.
    • Record the number of participants attending the session.
    • Assist attendees with any inquiries or issues they may have.

     Art Refresh & Poster Session Support:

    • Assist with the set-up and breakdown of the Art Refresh station daily.
    • Assist presenters with displaying their posters. Respond to any questions they may have.

    Stage Support:

    • Help with everything related to helping the show run smoothly.
    • Time keeper: Holds up time notification cards for the speaker (10 minute, 5 minute, 1 minute, and wrap-up warnings).
    • Runner: Assist staff with unexpected needs and run microphones to audience members during question and answer portions.
    • Stage: Grab water for speakers, add or take away chairs when needed. Finding and orienting speakers.
