    Cutting Edge Curriculum (CEC), Inc. is offering a Preservice Training Grant to preservice teachers through their respective school. The Cutting Edge Curriculum Preservice Training Grant provides temporary, limited access to MyCAERT materials listed at www.mycaert.com. Preservice teachers who complete one training workshop (virtual or in person) on the MyCAERT website will gain access to MyCAERT materials during their student teaching semester.

  • Purpose

    The Preservice Training Grant provided by Cutting Edge Curriculum serves as a resource for teacher educators at accredited programs across the United States. As the demand for Career and Technical Education (CTE) educators rises, the importance of quality curriculum follows. This grant will allow your preservice teachers to gain a depth of knowledge in curriculum choices, developing course outlines, and effectively engaging with their students.

  • Guidelines

    - Eligibility requires preservice teaching students to be enrolled in an accredited CTE teacher training program.
    - Recipients agree to a 30-minute in-person or virtual training before access is granted.
    - Two libraries will be granted once guidelines have been met. These two libraries are pre-determined by Cutting Edge Curriculum.

  • Application Timeline

    There will be two application cycles each year.

    Cycle 1: September 1 - November 1
    Applications will open September 1 for all preservice classes student teaching in Spring 2026
    Applications are due November 1 by 11:59 p.m.
    Training must be completed by December 15th.

    Cycle 2: January 1 - March 1
    Applications will open January 1 for all preservice classes student teaching in Fall 2026
    Applications are due March 1 by 11:59 p.m.
    Training must be completed by May 15th.

  • Selection Criteria

    - Applicant must agree to specified terms as stated throughout.
    - Application must be completed and submitted by the deadline.
    - Application must be submitted by a professor or college/university staff member at an accredited college or university that offers a teacher training program for Career & Technical Education.

  • Value

    The Cutting Edge Curriculum Preservice Training Grant is valued at $600 per student for eight-month access to two pre-determined lesson libraries.
