WHATS INCLUDED IN WINTERIZATION:

Standard Engine/Generator: Drain water from the engine block, exaust manifolds and hoses. Drain plugs and hoses wil NOT be reinstalled (Liability Reasons).Flush with antifreeze (except outboards), fog cylinders, stabilize fuel and check/change gearlube (on land ONLY). Then blow out thru-hull valve/s and close value/s (floating boats).

Drive Service and Alignment Check: (Sterndrive Engines)Service includes Standard Winterization PLUS: Remove drive unit. Greasing input shaft & U-joints. Check engine and drive alignment. Inspect U-joint, shift cable, exhaust bellows and gimbal bearing. Check steering and trim pivot points for wear. Reinstall drive unit with new gaskets and/or o-ring seals. DONE ON LAND ONLY. This is recomended to do every 2-3 years.

Boat Systems: Drain water from system. Bypass water heater. Pump antifreeze through system. Blow out thru-hull valve(s) and close valve(s) (floating vessels).

**Gearlube/Drive Unit Oil CAN NOT be checked over water while vessel is ON Hoist.** (Corps Of Engineers Policy - In case of spill)

**WE DO NOT CHANGE ENGINE OIL DURING WINTERIZATION**

Recommend oil changes in the spring during Spring Commissioning (Summerization)

Jayhawk Marina will winterize my vessel and/or motor. Jayhawk Marina personnel may operate the unit as is necessary for the purpose of testing, moving, and/or inspecting. I further agree that Jayhawk Marina is not responsible for any loss or damage to my vessel or its contents due to fire, theft or any cause beyond their control. I understand that I am required to carry insurance on all personal property stored at Jayhawk Marina.
