Installer Assessment
This is not a test. The Installer Assessment is intended to gain further insight into your practices and be a educational review of Flooret specific installation guidelines.
Most problems with flooring installations are a result of poorly prepared subfloors. Uneven or rough subfloors will create problems that will transfer to the floor. Prior to installation of any flooring, the installer must ensure that the job site and subfloor meet the requirements of these instructions.(3/16” in 10’) Flooret is not responsible for flooring failure resulting from unsatisfactory job site and/or subfloor conditions. Do you have the following tools to properly prepare the subfloor? • Straight Edge/Level to Ensure Appropriate Subfloor Flatness • Floor Buffer • Grinder/Sander • Floor Scraper • HEPA-Filtered Vacuum • Mixer for Patch/Self-Leveler • Moisture Meter

I Have Read and Understand the Following: "For best results, existing flooring should be removed and installed directly above the subfloor. If removing existing flooring types is not possible, flooring can be installed over a variety of finished floors including, single layer resilient sheet floor and tile, ceramic, marble, and terrazzo. The surface must be in good condition and show no signs of excessive moisture conditions. Our flooring can go over virtually any sound wood underlayments/subfloors. Ensure the wood subfloor is flat, dry and sound. Screwing subfloor down prior to installation can aid in preventing squeaks and movement. Subfloor moisture content must be less than 12% and be tested in multiple areas across the installation space per industry standards. Do not install flooring over heavily cushioned floors such as rubber or cork, or over tile installed over concrete below grade level. Do not install over any type of carpet. The grout joints in ceramic tile and marble must be leveled so they are flush with the tile surface. Additionally, the tile may require several skim coats to achieve a flat surface"

New concrete slabs must be thoroughly dry and completely cured (at least 60 days). The final responsibility for determining if the concrete is dry enough for installation of the flooring lies with the floor covering installer. Do You Have the Equipment Needed to Determine Moisture in a Concrete Slab?

Substrate must be level to within 3/16" over 10ft.Level with leveling compounds as needed and recheck moisture levels. High spots can be addressed with a grinder attached to a HEPA-filter vacuum. Holes, grooves, expansion joints, and other depressions must be filled with a Portland cement, troweled smooth, and feathered evenly with the surrounding surface. FLATNESS is one of the most important keys to a successful installation. Do You Have the Appropriate Equipment and Can You Bring Substrate to Flatness Requirements by Sanding, Grinding, Patching or Leveling?
