Thank you for your interest in our conference. NaLa 2026 will offer three scholarship options to support attendance at the conference in Dallas, Texas. A total of 30 scholarships will be provided and each option will be limited to 10 recipients, and priority consideration will be given to applicants who have not previously received a scholarship to attend the NaLa Conference. These will be awarded based on the submission of a complete and properly filled-out scholarship application. NaLa 2026 applicants are required to respond to our open-ended questions through video submissions only. Videos can be submitted via platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo, and others. Please make sure to include the link to the final edited version of your video in your application and ensure that it is accessible for viewing. If you have any difficulties recording your video, please reach out to the conference organizers.

A complete application must be submitted, with all attachments, by Friday, November 7 at 5pm CST. A complete application includes: Completed Sections 1-13, video submission of the responses to the three open ended questions, and a PDF letter of reference/support. Applications will not be accepted after this time. No exceptions will be made.

You will be contacted by Monday, December 8 regarding your application status. If selected, you will be provided with more information.

The scholarship application portal does not save your information, so be sure to complete the application in one sitting. This means you will need to have all links and attachments in your possesion to ensure all necessary items are included and ready for submission.

Travel Stipend: Scholarship recipient will be responsible in purchasing their own flight to attend the 2026 NaLa Conference or make arrangements on their preffered method of transportation. Organizer will reimburse up to $500 for the cost of round trip transportation to the conference (e.g. if the flight or mileage is $270, you will receive a reimbursement of $270. If the flight or mileage is $542, we will only provide up to $500 in reimbursement). Reimbursements will be provided at the conference registraion desk during check in.

Hotel Stay: The organizer will make hotel reservations for the scholarship recipient for up to four nights. The scholarship recipient must provide a credit card at check in only for incidentials. The hotel will place a hold on your credit card of $100 per night and will be released back to you after checking out.
