Recently, the San Diego City Council recently passed a resolution to drastically increase the park permitting fees for adult recreational sport providers. This increase, in some cases up to 185%, will cause adult sport provider to either raise prices or close their doors.
We write to you today on behalf of the adult recreation community, who are committed to keeping San Diegans engaged. Every year, tens of thousands of City residents participate in adult softball leagues, which bring San Diego’s public parks to life every night of the week.
We ask for your support and request that you meet with adult recreational sports providers to further discuss this issue and to discuss a path forward.
