The Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas is calling for entries to compose a new Liga Hymn that will embody the spirit of barangay leadership, unity, and service to the Filipino people. The winning hymn will serve as the official Liga Hymn and be sung in future events and gatherings.

Contest Mechanics
1. Eligibility
  - The contest is open to all individuals (songwriters, composers, musicians, barangay officials, and the general public).
  - Both solo and group entries are allowed.
2. Song Requirements
  - The hymn should have a maximum duration of 1 minute and 30 seconds max.
  - Must be an original composition (lyrics and melody must not infringe copyright).
  - Lyrics should highlight the themes of:
    
    Barangay leadership and service
    
    Unity and being “One Liga”
    
    The true meaning of Serbisyong May Puso
    
    Community spirit
  - Language: Filipino
  - Style: Hymn format (formal, patriotic, dignified, and suitable for official singing)

3. Submission Requirements
  Each entry must include:
  - Full name(s) and contact details of composer/s (If any)
  - The song recording (MP3 or WAV)
  - Song lyrics (typed in Word/PDF format)
  - Music sheet/chords (If available, not mandatory)
  - Short description (3–5 sentences) of the inspiration behind the song
4. Submission Process
  - Entries must be submitted via this form.
  - Deadline of submission: October 31, 2025.
  - Multiple entries are allowed.
5. Intellectual Property
  - All submitted works will remain the property of the composer.
  - However, the winning entry will become the official property of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas, with full rights to use, perform, and distribute.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be judged based on the following:
- Creativity & Originality – 30%
- Lyrical Content (message & relevance to barangay leadership & unity) – 30%
- Musicality & Quality of Composition – 25%
- Overall Impact – 15%
Total: 100%
Prize
- The winning entry will receive a cash prize of Php 150,000 and official recognition from the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas.
- The winning hymn will be declared as the official Liga Hymn.
