Charity Partner

For this event, we are partnering with the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA). This organization provides life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Adam Gleason, a local blind athlete, and member of Seattle’s own Free2Fly running group is leading this fundraising effort for NWABA. Adam is one of many local athletes who benefit from the support of NWABA. As an example of NWABA’s impact, the tether that Adam uses for both daily runs and races is on loan from them.

We are asking that Eggnog Leg Jog participants make a donation of $10, or an amount they feel comfortable with to NWABA, to help fuel continued opportunities for Adam and other visually impaired athletes in our community.

Oh, and if you’re wondering how Adam feels about races where you have to eat or drink something along the way, his response to the concept was “that’s super cool. I love it!”
