Time Commitment:
Participation requires a significant commitment of time and energy with at least one meeting per month. The mentorship program runs from January through December with at least one meeting per month.
Mentee Responsibilities:
Mentees are expected to actively engage in the program with professionalism, integrity, and respect. Specifically, mentees shall:
- Conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and respect toward mentors, peers, and program staff.
- Show consistent respect and appreciation for the mentorship provided.
Proactively foster relationships, including but not limited to arranging meetings with mentors.
- Prepare clear goals and thoughtful questions in advance of each program event or meeting.
- Remain committed, prepared, and accountable throughout the program.
- Represent the ACBR with excellence at all times.
Refrain from any type of recruitment, in strict compliance with ACBR Bylaws.
Attendance Requirements:
All mandatory sessions will be communicated in advance, and participation in these sessions is essential to fully benefit from the program. Attendance will be recorded, and mentees are expected to make every effort to be present. Missing more than two sessions without prior notice or approval may result in removal from the program without exception.
Selection Process:
This is a competitive program. Applicants advancing in the process will be required to complete an in-person interview as part of the final selection criteria.
Annual Business Meeting Attendance:
Selected candidates are asked to attend the ACBR Annual Business Meeting on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Cherokee Town and Country Club, 155 West Paces Ferry Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30305. The ACBR Diversity Mentorship Committee would be honored to host you as our guests. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m.
