All Camp Champions will have a 6-month window from December 2025 through June 2026 to prepare both mentally and physically for this difficult hike on 6/13 and 6/14. What will you do to prepare to hike the Presidential Traverse? What do you expect your biggest training challenges to be, and how do you plan to address them?*

We require documentation of at least two hikes you've completed in the past 12 months, using screenshots from Garmin, Strava, or similar athletic tracking applications. We are specifically looking for evidence of distance, pace, elevation from recent hikes, as strong candidates for this program must be able to sustain a moving pace of at least 1.6mph on challenging hikes. Fundraising Experience
Each Camp Champion commits to raise a minimum of $2,000 by June 26, 2026, to send a deserving childhood cancer survivor to Camp Casco 2026.

50% ($1000) of that fundraising minimum must be reached by March 26, 2026, in order to receive two nights of guaranteed lodging at Joe Dodge Lodge on Friday 6/12 and Saturday 6/13. JDL provides warm showers, delicious meals, cozy beds, and the special camaraderie that only comes with being able to relax around the fire and unwind together.

Camp Champions who do not reach at least 50% of their commitment by March 26 will be responsible for providing their own lodging before and after the hike.

We offer a second in-person hike program, Summit Seekers, in which a small hike team will take on a one-day hike of Mount Washington on June 13, 2026. If you are not offered a space as a Camp Champion, would you like to be considered for a space as a Summit Seeker?*
