Destination: Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch

At the farm, students will sit through a pumpkin presentation, sit on bales of hay on a flat-bed trailer hayride, walk through a corn maze, view and pet animals in the petting zoo, traipse through a muddy pumpkin patch, play on a fire truck and old boat and select a pumpkin.

Please bring a labelled cloth or heavy-duty plastic bag for students to carry their pumpkins in.

The school will cover the cost of the students' activity fee. Parents are asked to pay for their own admission at the gate ($7.50). Parents assisting with driving other students will have their admission covered by the school.

Siblings are not permitted on field trips.

Method of Transportation: Parent drivers

Time of Departure from school: 9:00am

Return to school: 12:00pm

Uniform required: Please wear Star of the Sea gym strip (sweat suit), boots and appropriate jackets – the program is outdoor, so dress for the weather.

Lunch: Please ensure your child has a good breakfast. They may bring a pocket snack to eat in the car on the way to the pumpkin patch or back to school. Lunches will be eaten back at school.

We appreciate parent volunteers to transport and chaperone our students. Please remember that a valid criminal record check is required to chaperone other people's children. We understand that some parents might prefer to only transport and chaperone their own child. Please indicate your preference below.

For insurance coverage and safety, trips must be directly to and from the school except for emergencies (i.e. no stopping for treats).

Please note that younger siblings are not permitted on field trips.
