Completing this application is a step in the process of acquiring a puppy from Converse Premium Labs, but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, Converse Premium Labs reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.
APPROVAL AND PAYMENT: We will review applications within 5 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your application seems like you may be a good fit, we will notify you. We breed on a scheduled cycle, so we will only accept payments when puppies are expected or available. During pregnancy, approved homes will receive a link to make a deposit payment on a puppy, and links will be sent out in the order applications were received. Please make this payment within 24 hours of the approval e-mail. Please note that CPL will offer a limited number of pre-birth deposits, and these deposits are taken on a first come, first serve basis.
YOUR PICK OF PUPPY: Puppies will be assigned in order by which CPL receives the buyer’s application and deposit. Please visit CPL Deposit Policy
GOING HOME: CPL expects that the buyer schedules to pick up their puppy on the mutual day that is agreed upon. Normally this takes place at 8 weeks of age.
CONTRACT: CPL will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason. The CPL Puppy Agreement/Contract will be discussed and signed at the time of puppy pick up. CPL Contract
SPAY/NEUTER: We require spay/neuter on all our pet homes. We have a take-back provision in our contract. Any puppy from our home always has a home here and will never experience the fear and burden of life at a shelter. Taking back an unaltered dog into our home poses a significant risk to our own dogs due to canine STDs and the possibility an unaltered dog could be pregnant. Sadly, many well-intentioned folks don't pay close enough attention and suddenly their barely adolescent dog is pregnant by multiple studs of unknown heritage. Spay surgery while pregnant is exceedingly risky, and several canine STDs such as brucellosis can be transferred to humans, which poses an unacceptable risk to our family. Because we take cradle-to-grave "original home" responsibility for the puppies we created, puppies must be de-sexed unless you have purchased a "Full" Registration puppy from CPL or have been selected to participate in the CPL Guardian Home program.
REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our excellent family companions come with registration papers to the AKC and strongly encourage our CPL new puppy owners to register your dog with the AKC.
