Join us in our lovely, home-like environment with an Early Childhood Teacher at The Folksy House's Morning Dew program. Each Saturday morning, caregivers and their little ones gather for a harmonious blend of joyful play, meaningful work, nurturing care, connection, and magic around mealtimes—allowing you to truly experience the most beautiful parts of early childhood.
Together, we'll follow a morning rhythm and discuss topics related to early childhood rooted in Waldorf principles. Through the 8-weeks, children and caregivers will participate in wet-on-wet watercolor painting, baking, and a nurturing handwork craft in our early childhood classrooms.
The morning will end with lavender hand washing, table setting, and a shared snack by candlelit, and then an optional unsupervised 30-minutes outdoors in our play yard.
Program Details:
Duration: 8-week session
Participants: Parent/Child Pairs (Ages: Birth-2.9 years old*)
*We kindly ask that you consider your child's needs and behavior within our environment. Our morning rhythm takes place primarily indoors, where we maintain a calm and collaborative space suited for mixed ages, including non-walkers. As such, we do not allow excessive running or rough play inside the house. Our teachers will guide children to respect these boundaries and will also review outdoor rules to ensure a harmonious experience for all. We encourage you to reflect on these guidelines before registering.
For caregivers with very young, non-walking children, please note that our rhythm is designed to support caregiver learning and community building. While we welcome caregivers of infants and non-walkers, our focus is not on providing developmentally appropriate activities or play-scapes for this age group, as this is not an infant-focused class. Instead, the aim is to offer inspiration and tools you can incorporate as your child grows.
