    We need your help! In 2026, we will need a number of critical roles filled in order for the club to function and support our players and families during the season. The Club cannot function without volunteers and our best chance of a successful year is where the club has enough volunteers to support our amazing Raiders community.

  • RAIDERS – COURTS COORDINATOR

    The courts coordinator is a critical role in the club and enables support to our teams by coordinating the training court availability during the season.

    Key responsibilities

    • Book venues for the coming season
    • Seek nominations from teams for preferred training slots
    • Process nominations using Model
    • Maintain training bookings register
    • Liase with teams as required

    Key tasks

    • Re-book with venues training courts for the coming season
    • Update Model with court availability - aim for 60 min slots
    • Update model with available training slots
    • Updated Nomination forms – noting to restrict preference 1 & 2 to certain age groups (Junior/Senior)
    • Send Nomination forms to Team Managers, follow up return
    • Load Nomination forms to the Model, with aim to achieve preference 1-3
    • Advise teams their allocated slots
    • Assist teams with moving slots as required
    • Advise teams during season re. Impact to court availability (school/public holidays, school events etc)
    • Review for accuracy and recommend for payment to the Treasurer payments for court bookings

  • CLUB TREASURER

    The Treasurer is a member of the Raiders Basketball Club committee, responsible for overseeing the club’s financial operations and ensuring transparent, accurate, and timely financial management. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including committee members, vendors, sponsors, and affiliated basketball associations. This role averages approximately 5 hours per week at the start of the season, tapering down to 2–3 hours per week post-Term 1 holidays. The club will ensure that the incoming Treasurer is fully brief and inducted into the club's processes.
  •  Key Responsibilities -  Financial Management

    • Set up and manage the annual budget in alignment with club goals.
    • Maintain and reconcile financial records using the Wave Accounting System.
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
    • Issue sponsorship invoices in collaboration with the Sponsorship Manager.
    • Coordinate with the Uniform Manager and vendors regarding sales of uniforms and merchandise.
    • Provide regular and ad hoc financial reports to the committee.
    • Process membership refunds and liaise with Hawks and Basketball WA for related matters.
    • Submit reports via Association Online as required.
    • Handle Kidsport vouchers, including reconciliation and reimbursements.
    • Manage the singlet refund process, including handling of cash and associated tracking.

    Grants and Funding

    • Assist in identifying and applying for grants to support club activities and development.

    Club Support and Liaison

    • Provide financial advice and general assistance to the committee.
    • Support PlayHQ administration for financial tasks, including voucher creation and financial reporting.
    • Attend club meetings as required and support events

     

     

  • CLUB REGISTRAR

    The Registrar’s role is to assist in the registration process which occurs pre-season and early into the season. Some involvement during the season is required due to injuries, withdrawals or cancellations. The registrar works closely with coaching sub-committee, treasurer and the club president to ensure teams are established appropriately prior to season commencement. The club will ensure the incoming registrar will be fully briefed and inducted into the club's processes.
  • Main responsibilities:

    • Attend club committee meetings as required
    • Attend to registration enquiries
    • Attend Hawks meetings ( approximately 4 per year)
    • Create registration pages in PlayHQ
    • Create teams and populate players in PlayHQ
    • Create pre-nominated team from in Google.
    • Send out registration details to members
    • Update team spreadsheet regularly
    • Fill gaps in teams from the general waitlist
    • Consider creating brand new teams from scratch with waitlisted players
    • Respond to enquiries
    • Relay information from Hawks to Club Manager
    • Forward cancellations to Treasurer
    • Respond to enquiries
    • Liaise with other club to find and provide players to complete teams. 
    • Create mailing lists

     Skills required

    • Learn how to use PlayHQ (can be coached by other committee members.
    • Have basic Excel knowledge.
    • Good communication and collaboration skills.
    • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.
  • CLOTHING and APPAREL

    This role will support the club by assisting in managing the club’s uniform (playing singlets), coaches shirts and supporting our apparel company ID Athletic during the season. Ensuring all uniforms are clean, organized and distributed efficiently throughout the season. Peak season is at the start and end of the season, with light duties in between.  If you’re organised, friendly, and love being part of the team, we’d love your help!

    Key Responsibilities

    • Organise and hand out uniforms
    • Keep track of sizes & stock
    • Collect and store gear at season’s end
    • Assist with ordering new uniforms & coach shirt and liaising with suppliers
    • Keep records of uniform by playing numbers, sizes, quantities, and allocations
    • Distribute uniforms to players and shirts to coaches at the start of the season
    • Collect, check, and store uniforms at the end of the season
    • Manage spare uniforms and handle replacements if needed
    • Ensure uniforms are kept in good condition and arrange repairs or cleaning as required
    • Work closely with the club committee:
    • to maintain stock levels and budget awareness
    • Throughout the season for other arrangements

    Time Commitments

    Busy periods:

    • Pre-season (preparation),
    • Start of season (distribution)
    • Post-season (collection)
    • Light ongoing duties throughout the season

     

     

  • EQUIPMENT MANAGER

    We required additional equipment managers to help with maintaining and distributing equipment during the season.  
  • Main responsibilities:

    • Ensuring the Raiders sporting equipment is appropriate for use (wear/damage inspections)
    • Ensuring in the pre-season that coaches bags are appropriately equipped for the season ahead
    • Responding to queries relating to equipment (loss/theft)
    • Stock-takes as required and working with President and Treasurer to acquire new stock
    • Assisting with other club duties such as pre-season meetings, AGMs, wind-up duties.
  • INTEGRATED BASKETBALL PROGRAM COACH

    Raiders are proud of supporting the IBP, and want to ensure this valuable program continues in the future. Currently, our IBP Manager Dean and our amazing IBP Coach, Carlo will need some coaching support in 2026. The games are on Friday evenings and it’s a great social avenue for players in our IBP.   • SPONSORSHIP and FUNDRAISING MANAGER

    We need an enthusiastic volunteer to help support the club by maintaining our sponsorship relationships and enable fundraising during the season!
  • Key responsibilities:

    • Working with the President to attract sponsors for each season, or season tenure (example 2 or 3-year tenures)
    • Maintaining relationships with our amazing sponsors to ensure their brands are accessible to our basketball community
    • Work with our Clothing committee members to ensure our coaches shirts reflect our sponsors
    • Assisting with other club duties such as pre-season meetings, AGMs, wind-up duties.
