Dinner and continuing education credit provided!
Join colleagues from your area for dinner and conversation on appropriate prescribing and dispensing of opioid medications for your community. We'll start with a didactic overview of guidelines, responsibilities, and local data, then move to a conversation on interprofessional communication to keep your communities safe (and protect your licenses!).
1.5 hours of accredited CME (AMA Category 3), CNE, CPE, and dental continuing education available.
Continuing education objectives:
- Identify barriers and facilitators to implementing opioid prescribing guidelines across diverse Kansas health care settings.
- Apply strategies for enhancing medication safety, including opioid disposal programs, clinical decision support tools, and prescription monitoring programs (PMPs).
- Develop an actionable plan to expand multidisciplinary education and interprofessional collaboration to support opioid stewardship and SUD management in their local practice or institution.
Funding for this project was provided by a grant approved and awarded by the Kansas Fights Addiction Grant Review Board with grant administration Support from the Sunflower Foundation: Health Care for Kansans.
