Step 3 — Applicant Certification
IMPORTANT — Please review the minimum EOT eligibility requirements before continuing.
GovSource will review your documentation to determine whether you meet the eligibility requirements for the Florida Equivalency of Training (EOT) process.
To qualify for EOT, applicants must have at least twelve (12) months of qualifying full-time sworn employment within the past eight (8) years in the discipline for which they are applying (Law Enforcement or Corrections), unless they qualify under an applicable prior Florida certification provision.
Law Enforcement applicants must also have successfully completed a full basic law enforcement academy outside the State of Florida. Reserve, auxiliary, or other limited training alone does not qualify an applicant for the full Law Enforcement EOT pathway.
Applicants are responsible for providing complete and accurate documentation verifying their qualifying employment, certification, and academy training.
If you do not meet the applicable minimum employment and training requirements, you are not eligible for EOT. Please do not continue with the application or submit payment. Once your application has been processed/reviewed, fees are non-refundable, including applications denied for failure to meet EOT eligibility requirements.
This is better than the current wording because the applicant sees 12 months + last 8 years + full-time sworn + full academy before reaching the acknowledgment checkboxes.
